This piece was made to redefine myself and who real am. Beside what I am wearing or race or whatever I am, I am me. The picture that I chose where pets or place that happen in my life that made me so delighted to be alive. Inspired by Frida Kahlo the way she putted thing around herself, I use the pets in my life and the place because throughout that hour was first thing that made me and who I am in a person.

Behind The Meaning
When I was little I used to be called fat, ugly, dumb, or stupid. Every year I was moving from school to school because of all the bullying and name calling. The last time I moved was when I was in middle school. Middle school was a place where I was accepted, but I still didn’t have friends and no one to play with. I ran and worked out all the time.
I stayed at the school for three years and then I enrolled in Reagan IB high school. I thought this school would be the same as other schools, people hating me, with me having no friends and no boyfriend. Because of this all my free time went into studying, drawing or working out. These activities weren’t fun for me though because I was alone and had no one to share with them.
However, things change. One day, I met a boy, named James, and he had yellow hair and was really thin for a boy. James was the first friend I made at Reagan. He seemed trustworthy, I could tell him anything and he wouldn't tell other people, I could confided in him. He had a good sense of humor and he made laugh. Unfortunately, our relationship changed. In my freshman year, I was going out with Tom. I liked Tom; he was tall and liked video games like me. I went out with him; he hung out at my house, we played video games and we enjoyed talking with each other.
One day, Tom told me he was jealous of my friendship with James. He wanted me to stop talking with him and hanging around him. I didn’t want to do that, but I listened Tom because he was my first crush. Finally, James become disappointed because I couldn't hang with him, according to Tom, but I did hang with James secretly.
Eventually Tom found out and told me that I had to choose: Tom or James. I chose Tom. James was discouraged, angry and hurt. James last words said to me “I don't need nobody”.
Ultimately Tom and I broke up because he became controlling. He decided the friends I could have and who I could talk to.
This experiences was heartbreaking for me. I learn that I can’t let people control me or tell me what to do because James, my true friend, is no longer a part of my life. I’ve tried to talk to James and make everything right, but he wants nothing to do with me. I hoping that he changes his mind so I can tell him I’m sorry.
