This piece was made to show the power of the spear that represent the Warfare tactics of the Aztecs used. The Aztec weapon was use for hunting or throwing practice and it native Australians have used this ancient weapon as recently as 50 years ago. I chose this because I wanted to give beauty and kindness of a warm or calming feeling in the weapon is beautiful but the real story it has dark story in the weapon. That give a type feeling out a look down to the color dark blue to the light blue. To think about the hue (color) and the feeling of the movement and texture of the red and white going up to make the feather. I pick the Atlatl to show the weapon and can have life.

InspirationMy inspiration was from the Aztec culture of the throwing spear that is call the Atlatl. (2 The atlatl was an ancient and important weapon in the Americas when the Spanish arrived). The spear-thrower is a primitive of weapon use in south America over, (2 but reports indicate that native Australians have used this ancient weapon as recently as 50 years ago. Evidence from cave paintings show that atlatl's were used on every continent except Antarctica). Some of the thing I didn't know was on; The Modern experiments also teach us a lot about atlatls. I need to look up information about it and it was (1 As an archaeologist who studies prehistoric technology, I have made and used many different kinds of atlatls, copying both ethnographic forms, and specimens from prehistoric sites. I am not alone; there are now many atlatlists. Only a few of us are archaeologists; most of the modern people skilled in atlatl use learn because hobbies and sports featuring ancient technology have become popular). The Aztec weapon call "Atlatl" was my inspired me on my “Atlatl” inspiration of making the art work call "Atlatl". To mix up the one weapon of fear and make a one pieces that all the "Atlatl " because the Aztec hear first in the world and need to me show again how much they had to change for the new people in their time. The pieces “Atlatl” is a system that respect and how they made the world in the pass and then we’ll never be forge ten in the world that we live in. This inspired me to make the background dark blue to light to show the contrast of the spear color that make the weapon float in the area. Then having the blood going up to form the feather to other feather to represent the amount of death or kill that the spear did to people or animals. The idea that I was getting from the artwork was to show Beauty and kindness of a warm weird feeling that this weapon is beautiful but in the backstory of the weapon it has death and fear throughout people or someone action.
ReflectionThis piece of art is titled "Atlatl." When I created this, I had to understand the texture and the style of making a throwing spear. To give balance to the piece I had inspiration about the of Aztec culture . The Atlatl has a lot of form and had a lot of hard shapes, and then having to make strangle lining to form the spear. When I made this piece I considered the background color and how the form will look in the work. I try different way the Atlatl will be step in the canvas but I took a bit long for me because I had some what ideals how it will places in the artwork but in the end I shown one that is great center of canvas and having a shadow down background. When I was done making the background. I had to think about how the forming of the artwork will be shown with the colors format I will use. Like for the feathers on top of the spear, I had the base color white, then layer with pink and going back to it with the white again. After that, I layer out the brown color paint slowly and carefully because I wanted at first the wood part to be clean, but knowing me I wanted it to pop out from the painting so I left paint still on it so it looks like its ruff from the human sight. And finally, the spearhead had a lot of difficulties to form out and give out the texture and volume that I wanted to show. Then I just use a gray, black and little bit of white to show the form or shape of the spearhead. The about of work that I to do in all was really not bad because mostly I was over thinking how the form will look as to the shape will be apear in. When I was finish with the painting it look like, what I really wanted and it show the movement and the ways of the colors moves. Then I choosing what show unique to the for the painting that will show the most to it. Finding the Aztec weapon and what should they do was difficult part was having move so much that it will come out good or bad and what color feathers I wanted to use. But in the end of the work of the colors and the movement and the balance to make the art that came out just right. I change it to mixture of because it something new I did and l try to make it unique to it. It gave me hard time to make but it was easy to understand it because I know how to make a dress and it didn't need a lot of processes because I knew what was going on and this was the most detail work I ever did.

Compare and ContrastTimothy used bright colors to highlight the flowers in "Eros" which I did in my own piece to show the Atlatl as the center piece of the artwork. I used the same rough background style in my own piece to show a contrast between my smooth lines in the Atlatl vs the rough blue sky. For contrast, I did not use brighter colors nor his basic darker colors because I wanted to emphasis the Atlatl. My background is not [dirty], its just a rough transition of light to dark.

1.) When I compare my piece with culture inspiration, there was visual connection between each pieces. As explained in the my culture inspiration section, I talked about how I use different style that techniques and bring out the beauty of something that kill of hunts. 4) The central idea was to create a piece of art inspired by the tone and mood and objects created by the different factors that composed Aztec weapon that was places
5) One of the inferences I can make is that Aztec weapon did get inspired by the uses of the weapon.
